Who doesn’t need to be more productive? I’ll tell you who: Dr. Jeffrey Spencer. The man has not only been a Tour de France team member eight freakin’ times, but he’s also a chiropractor, lecturer and–oh yeah, this one’s good–he’s a life coach to the stars. Now, he may not need any more experience or achievement, but Spencer can surely tell me how to get off my ass and get a move on. Hell, you’ll find me on Sundays in an existential crisis arguing to myself that it’s better to have a recuperative, stressless weekend (i.e., to remain prone on the couch) than unload the dishwasher. I apparently need to read Spencer’s Turn It Up! (his guidebook to personal success). The goal guru signs and discusses the book 7 p.m. Friday at Barnes & Noble, 7700 W. Northwest Highway. Call 214-739-1124.
