You only use the word vintage when you’re talking about antiques and fine vines. Frankly, I like the second use a whole lot more. And once a year for the past 28 years, downtown Grapevine is filled with people who agree with my taste in semantics. At GrapeFest, a blend of Texan and International wines is served to taste for four-days alongside special events like a Grapestomp, a Golf Classic, and a Kidsworld –which sounds like code for babysitters. Drink down your Pinot Noir, kid-free. GrapeFest kicks off at 10 a.m. Thursday and continues daily through Sunday at Historic Downtown Grapevine, 200 S. Main St. Entry tickets are $5-8, plus a few bucks more for the wine tastings. More information is available at grapevinetexasusa.com.
Fridays-Sundays, 10 a.m. Starts: Sept. 12. Continues through Sept. 14, 2014
