We know, we know. On top of picking out a Christmas tree, setting it up, and watering it, you also have to decorate it. It’s exhausting. Ornaments are typically just those glass or plastic things your parents store in a cardboard box in the attic and make you get out once per year to decorate the Christmas tree. Older relatives claim they all have special meaning, but you know better. They’re just things.
But, that’s so not the case. Ornaments are art, too, and something you should admire. That’s why Kittrell/Riffkind Art Glass (5100 Belt Line Rd. #510) is hosting its annual Ornament Extravaganza, a Celebration of Shape, Color, and the Holiday Season from Nov. 15 through Dec. 31. The event’s opening reception is 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday and if that isn’t enough to get you ho-ho-ho-ing with Santa and his elves, then does it help that cookies and eggnog will be served also?
