$10,000

If you were to ride down an escalator in International Terminal D at DFW Airport, you might notice a 600″x 240 “x 28” aluminum wall fixture dotted with faint streams of black lines spanning across the large structure. You might not know that the artist of the subtle, impressive artwork is Tom Orr, but you should know that he’s got an exhibit on display now at the Marty Walker Gallery, 2135 Farrington St. Tom Orr’s Ghost Stories blends architecture with philosophy as it implements visual trickery through the use of simple, industrial materials like wood, metal and mirrors. Ghost Stories hangs through November 13; gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Call 214-749-0067 or visit martywalkergallery.com.

Tuesdays-Saturdays, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Starts: Nov. 2. Continues through Nov. 13, 2010
