Oboist Allison Whitfield performs selections by Mozart and Saint Saens for the Rising Star Recital at 2:30p.m., while the 10-member Imperial Brass ensemble regales audiences with “A Time Traveler’s Concert” spanning the Renaissance to the Twentieth Century and featuring Beethoven (naturally), Strauss, Grainger and others. The Feature Performance takes place at 3 p.m. at Texas Discovery Gardens in Fair Park. Tickets for the concert and parking is free. Doors open at 2 p.m. No reservations are required.
