It’s way easier to do good when there’s booze involved, which is part of why Merlot 4 Mutts is always such a successful event — they take no chances and put the promise of wine right in the name. Now in its third year, Merlot 4 Mutts returns to offer wine tasting, silent auctions and fine adult beverages all in the name of animal advocacy. So grab your wallet and do it for the kids — and by kids, we mean the four-legged kind that are on the hunt for new parents and happy homes. All proceeds from the event go to Habitat 4 Paws, a humane society that provides care and shelter for local cats and dogs waiting for their forever homes. The wine will flow from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at The Wine Therapist, 1810 Skillman St. Admission is $30 and includes light snacks and two glasses of wine. Call 214-676-6946 or visit habitat4paws.org.
