Modern-day radio stations may be more likely to play his son’s and grandson’s music, but for hardliners, there’s the original Hank Williams. For a man who didn’t live to see 30, Williams had a profound impact on country music that’s still felt today, more than 50 years after his death. Featuring more than 20 of his greatest hits, Hank Williams: Lost Highway, a musical biography directed by Michael Serrecchia, is putting the Hillbilly Shakespeare on the stage once again and telling the tale of his life, from his small-town upbringing to the medicated self-destruction that led to his untimely death. With preview performances upon us, you can catch this tribute show early at a pay-what-you-can performance at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the WaterTower Theatre at the Addison Theatre Centre, 15650 Addison Road.
