My idea of eco-conscious clothing is wearing the same jeans for weeks on end without washing them. It’s totally to save water or whatever–not at all because I’m a lazy slob. “Organic” clothing, you bet–I’m a walking compost heap. But that’s not the idea behind the Organic in the City Fashion Show and Auction, though. Rather, designers Ross Bennett, Lindsay Weatherread and El Centro College Fashion Design students will show new, earth-friendly collections 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Texas Discovery Gardens, 3601 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Tickets ($40 through March 5, $50 after) and information are at 214-428-7476.

Wed., March 10, 6:30 p.m., 2010
