The key to keeping New Year’s resolutions is to strike while the iron’s hot–start working toward your goal while you’re passionate about it. And if your goal is getting in shape, maybe you should hike while the iron’s hot. Join other resolution-makers at the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge, 9601 Fossil Ridge Road, for a Resolution Hike from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, New Year’s Day. For $5 plus admission (free for members), you can enjoy North Texas nature–and maybe work off a few Champagne calories–while hiking part of the Canyon Ridge trail. If you really get into the spirit, you can check out 11 other trails–over 20 miles in total. Call 817-392-7410 or visit fwnaturecenter.org.
