Clint Eastwood’s last name ought to be Sheen or at least Estevez. Before Charlie’s Platoon, before Martin’s Apocalypse Now, there was Clint’s Kelly’s Heroes. This film is just as smart as any subversive war film ever made, but in a decidedly unfunny genre it’s also hilarious. Three Kings may have ripped off the plot, but even Clooney, Markie and the Cube can’t touch Heroes‘ cast: Dirty Harry, Kojak, Archie Bunker, Hawkeye Pierce and Captain Stubing all in the same flick. Throw in Don Rickles and it’s like a two-hour episode of Hollywood Squares, with tanks—and a biting satire on war. See it at the Lakewood Theater, 1825 Abrams Parkway, 8 p.m. Tuesday. Tickets and well drinks are $3. Call 214-821-7469.
