$10,000

Previously, our fair Frisco RoughRiders have maintained a fairly even win-loss record with the Midland RockHounds this season. The Riders were the first half division winners, but recently their Ls seem to be creeping up in number. This is concerning as I see it, because there are just way more practice-affecting distractions in Frisco than there are in Midland. Seriously, it’s gotta be hard to focus on solid pitching and whatnot when there’s an Ikea, sushi and MILF-filled FC Dallas games looming in the distance. But for the Hounds, well, just Google “Midland, TX attractions” and see if things like the George Bush home and a petroleum museum wouldn’t keep your eye on the ball. The RoughRiders will surely prove me wrong and beat the pants off the RockHounds at 7 p.m. Saturday, 6 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday at Dr. Pepper Ballpark, 7300 RoughRider Trail in Frisco (naturally). Tickets are available at ticketmaster.com. For team info, visit minorleaguebaseball.com/index.jsp?sid=t540.
