The Perot Museum of Nature and Science (2201 N. Field St.) recently opened its Hoglund Foundation Theater, a nearly 300-seat space boasting both 2-D and 3-D films, which is the closest Dallas has to an IMAX theater just yet. This bodes well for Sea Monsters: A Prehistoric Adventure, which closes March 7. The film throws us back into the late cretaceous period, when dinosaurs disappeared from the surface landscape, yet under the sea, marine reptiles were thriving. Join a Dolichorhynchops and her babies as they navigate the 3-D deeps, while paleontologists in modern-day Kansas attempt to link the species to bones found in a riverbank.
