Pronail Princesa is the nail-game name of Vanessa Quilantan, who can be found buffing and filing at Oak Cliff’s Studio 410 with her beauty gang, the Lady Misfits, or perhaps a random rap show. (She also writes about rap for the Dallas Observer.) On Friday night, at Texas Theatre (231 W. Jefferson Blvd.), Quilantan is celebrating her birthday with help from the Lady Misfits and THRWD Magazine. Internet Trap God will be playing DJ, along with Observer columnist Deb Doing Dallas and emcee Jenny Robinson. It will be “turnt up,” as the kids say, and you can enter a raffle to win a custom manicure. Starts at 10 p.m. and is free. Warning: This dress code is labeled “ALL CAPS.” If you’re looking for a little screen time before the party, National Lampoon’s Vacation plays at 7 p.m., in 35-mm. A Band Called Death, the new documentary on Detroit proto-punk band Death, screens at 9:15 p.m.
