The Fort Worth Opera just got more dramatic. It’s joining the eclectic ranks of talent at this year’s Out of the Loop Fringe Fest. On Thursday, the company’s Young Artists will present a showcase at WaterTower Theatre, 15650 Addison Road in Addison. Whether you’re an opera fan or an opera skeptic, this fast-paced, entertaining night of music is a great way to get a bite-sized taste of the genre. In addition to possessing awesome vocal talents, the FWO’s Young Artists are great dramatic entertainers. More important, they have believable chemistry as a group. The showcase features familiar arias you’re sure to recognize as well as a bit of Broadway and several selections from the company’s upcoming festival. The performance gets underway at 7:30 p.m. and individual tickets set you back $10. For more information, check out watertowertheatre.org.
