Two of theater’s most talented performers are Taylor Mac and Mandy Patinkin. In my opinion, there aren’t many people who hold a candle to these two. Throw director and choreographer Susan Stroman into the equation and you’ve got a dream team of contemporary American theater stars. On the value of their names alone, you should grab tickets to their performance of The Last Two People on Earth: An Apocalyptic Vaudeville, which comes to town this week. This two-man show imagines a biblically proportioned flood has hit earth, wiping out everyone but these men, who discover their common language is song and dance. See the show at 8 p.m. Tuesday or through February 22 at the Eisemann Center (2351 Performance Drive, Richardson). Tickets range from $65-72 and are available at eisemanncenter.com.
Wednesdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sun., Feb. 22, 2 p.m. Starts: Feb. 18. Continues through Feb. 22, 2015
