Little big ago, The Dallas Film Society announced their plans for the second Art of Film at the Hall of State in Fair Park. If you weren’t around for last year’s inaugural shindig with Elvis Mitchell and Robert Duvall, it was apparently a damn good time.
Anyway, today the DFS announced that Elvis Mitchell–former New York Times critic–will be sitting with John Lithgow for this year’s Art of Film. Lithgow, according to the release, will get the DALLAS Star Award, along with a screenings of–what Robert hopes over on Unfair Park–of The World According to Garp and The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension.
Sounds like a darn good plan. Head over to Unfair Park for the full presser.
