The kids already know who has all the best candy in the neighborhood. They don’t remember to brush their teeth every night, but year after year they know which houses to beeline toward for the full-size candy bars. Come dusk, they’re running out the door and passing by all the suckers who just give out suckers—business as usual. Well, why not make Halloween fun for them once again and mix it up this year? Dress up your little goblins and ghouls (princesses and Power Rangers too) and head out to Boo at the Zoo for a fun-filled afternoon that leaves the neighborhood routine behind. There are plenty of games and prizes, children’s entertainment and costumed characters. In addition, there are the requisite trick-or-treat stations throughout, so the kids will still get their candy while they enjoy the lions and tigers and bears of the zoo. The fun takes place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Dallas Zoo, 650 South R.L. Thornton Freeway. All Boo activities are free with zoo admission of $8.75 (adults) and $5.75 (children 3 to 11). Call 214-670-5656 or visit dallaszoo.com.
