You’d think it’d be hard growing up with a nickname like Fudge, but it’d be even more unfortunate to grow up with Fudge as a little brother. Long before the beloved Judy Blume classic Superfudge, there was Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, the introductory story of poor Peter Hatcher and the misadventures of Fudge. You may have read the books a million times, but now you’re getting a chance to see your favorite characters come to life as the Dallas Children’s Theater performs Bruce Mason’s adaptation of Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, complete with stamp fiascos, bad haircuts and turtle torture. Leave Dribble safely at home and check out performances at 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon, with additional performances on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through October 28 in the Baker Theater at the Rosewood Center for Family Arts, 5938 Skillman St. Tickets are $12 to $21. Call 214-740-0051 or visit dct.org.
Fridays-Sundays. Starts: Sept. 30. Continues through Oct. 28, 2007
