The musical Jersey Boys takes us back to an age before One Direction, Backstreet Boys, Hanson and, well, you get the idea. There are a lot of boy bands out there, but before music producers got around to cobbling together groups of cute, musically capable dudes, there were The Four Seasons. This group of rock and roll icons came about organically in the 1960s and are already immortalized through the popularity of their music, but this four-time Tony Award winner cemented the deal. It became a long-running show on Broadway and spawned an array of documentary-style musicals that run through a long list of fan-favorite tunes. When it comes to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, that’s a very long list. The crooning takes place from Tuesday through Sunday, July 15 at the Winspear Opera House, 2403 Flora St. Tickets start at $30. For tickets and showtime information, visit winspearcentre.com.

Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: June 12. Continues through July 17, 2012
