Keep Dallas Observer Free
We’re aiming to raise $10,000 by April 26. Your support ensures Dallas Observer can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
The presents are opened, the leftovers are questionable and you still have your kids at home for another week. It’s beginning to look a lot like … a total nightmare. Don’t fret. There are still plenty of holiday holdovers to occupy those precious little snowflakes — like the Sparkle! spectacular at the Hilton Anatole, 2201 N. Stemmons Freeway. From 10 a.m. until 10 p.m., you can set ’em loose on bounce houses, bounce slides, ice skating rinks and more. In fact, on Monday you can keep them busy until bedtime with a snow globe craft from 10 until 11 a.m.; a junior chocolate academy with local chocolate maven Kate Weiser from 1 to 1:30 p.m.; an appearance from the Dallas Zoo from 3 to 4 p.m.; and a showing of The Polar Bear Express at 7 p.m. In between all that, you’ll find balloon artists, caricaturists and clowns aplenty. Admission to Sparkle! is $9 for adults, $7 for kids ages 7 to 17 and free for the 6-and-younger set. The event is open through January 4; visit christmasattheanatole.com for daily schedules.
Mondays-Sundays. Starts: Dec. 30. Continues through Jan. 4, 2013
