Well, not exactly, but as many Top Chef fans know, former contestant (and executive chef at Plano’s Loft 610) Tre Wilcox knows how to prepare an amazing meal in a flash. Now it’s your chance to learn his secrets. Once you master some techniques, maybe next year you and yours can stay home for Valentine’s Day, instead of battling the romance-eradicating crowds. “Hey, sweetie, I lovingly prepared you pan-seared red snapper with baby bok choy and yellow curry sauce,” sounds a helluva lot better than, “The reservation’s at 8.” The class meets Monday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Central Market Plano, 320 Coit Road; $75 per person.
