Just about every city has a river road race…and even though Dallas doesn’t really have a real river, the Trinity River Levee Run is a real race. Really. A 10K race that will wind downtown and along the levee, the Trinity River Run promises to be a fast and competitive race as Dallas’ near-perfect spring weather makes racing easier than Kristin Cavallari after two beers. The top three finishers in all age groups will receive awards, and everyone will receive event T-shirts. The prospect of a KDFW-Channel 4 reporter serving as a race announcer (along with a set from a band called Rockupational Therapy) sounds unpleasant, but please come anyway. Details and registration available at active.com.
