Sometimes wonderful things only happen once, and being ephemeral makes them all the more amazing. Other times some wonderful thing happens more than once and you’re relieved because screw that ephemeral bull, let’s just do that awesome thing again. Such is the case with the second run of On the Eve, the locally written rock musical by Seth Magill, Shawn Magill and Michael Federico. On the Eve is a play with a light touch of revisionist history, billed as the “almost entirely true story of Marie Antoinette and the first time-traveling hot air balloon.” We’re not saying you need to be familiar with Robespierre before you go, but you may not want to wear any culottes to the show. The premiere of the new run starts at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Theatre Three, 2800 Routh St. Tickets range from $10 to $50. For tickets and more information, visit
