The Webb Gallery has always had a soft spot for art relating to secret societies. Whether it’s Masonic aprons or hand-painted banners welcoming members of the Odd Fellows to a mysterious gathering, Bruce and Julie Webb are the caretakers of a hermetic clearinghouse. If you are lucky enough to visit their home, you will notice that their love for all things cryptic isn’t exclusive to the gallery. The walls, floors and ceilings are jam packed with the stuff. It is this dedication to outsider art that has made the Webb Gallery a sure bet if you are looking for a one of a kind art-show experience. Come and try out your secret handshake as the Webb Gallery presents Art of the Secret Society, running 1 to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through November 8 at 209 W. Franklin in Waxahachie. Visit Webbartgallery.com for details.
Saturdays, Sundays, 1-5 p.m. Starts: Aug. 23. Continues through Nov. 8, 2009
