Up for seeing art, but not down with the big-museum entrance fees or a drive to Fort Worth? The Latino Cultural Center is presenting its fourth annual juried art exhibit, and it’s free. Hecho in Dallas/Made in Dallas features 11 local professional artists showing work in various mediums, including painting, photography and printmaking. The artists have been selected by a panel or jurors, so don’t worry about making the trip only to see a collection of sixth-grade watercolors (no offense to the rigors of middle-school art class). For a quiet break away from the office or a relaxed visit over the weekend, check it out at 2600 Live Oak St. from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, through August 19. Call 214-670-3320 or visit dallasculture.org/latinocc.
Tuesdays-Saturdays. Starts: July 19. Continues through Aug. 18
