Chicago band Mucca Pazza plays a punk- and gypsy-infused brand of marching music, sounding something like the cantina band from Return of the Jedi, or maybe a less cutesy version of local indie marchers Mount Righteous, who share a bill with the Chicagoans this Friday at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth along with heavily lauded locals Stumptone, Dove Hunter and Telegraph Canyon. Chicago’s genderbending alt-cabaret artist Baby Dee opens the show–which takes place in the Modern’s perfectly manicured courtyard, a great place to enjoy some music in the crisp fall air–at 7 p.m. as part of Modern ’til Midnight, “a night of world-class art and unique performances” coinciding with the last weekend of the Kara Walker: My Complement, My Enemy, My Oppressor, My Love exhibit.
