Last year, when USA Today published the salaries of all of the players in the NBA, I had never given much thought to how much players make. Didn’t care, still don’t. Well, after reading the breakdown of the highest-paid players, I remember thinking, “Kevin Garnett makes more than LeBron?!” That might have been an irrational expectation, especially given the fact that he’s been in the league for 10 years longer, but still I digress; I wouldn’t have expected Garnett to rake in more than say, NBA veteran Jason Kidd (who just so happens to be No. 2 behind Garnett in the salary category). All of that said, both of these men (and their teams) will be squaring off at the American Airlines Center on Saturday. It will be a great game, especially if the Mavs maintain the kick-ass winning streak they’ve got going on right now. If not, it will definitely be a great chance to see if Garnett (or Kidd, for that matter) is really worth the green he’s getting. Visit ticketmaster.com.
