Beer: That single little word conjures up so much frothy, frosty goodness it almost seems redundant to have a festival celebrating such a, well, festive concoction. But the industrious folks here at the Dallas Observer, as well as at KJKK-FM Jack 100.3 and KRLD-FM The Fan 105.3, never pass up an opportunity to bring people together for a little jubilation, and as such, will host Dallas BrewFest at 7 p.m. Saturday. Hop on down to the Dallas Arts District (Harwood Street between Woodall Rodgers Freeway and Ross Street, and Flora Street between Olive and Harwood streets, near the DMA and the Nasher) to sample from more than 150 types of beer and take in tunes from Cody Canada and the Departed. Whether you like your beer bitter or fruity, grainy or tart, you’ll have an ale of a time. Tickets are $30 for general admission and $60 for VIP; visit dobrewfest.com for details.
Sat., Sept. 15, 7 p.m., 2012
