While it’s just a short drive east, Louisiana is really worlds away, especially in the kitchen. For those of you who can make country gravy better than your grandma but have never been about to perfect the Cajun roux, Dallas Central Market’s Cooking School (5750 E. Lovers Lane) is ready to school you with their A Taste of Louisiana class. On the menu for the night you’ll find tasty treats like crawfish bisque, Brennan’s Chicken Pontalba, fried green tomatoes, and Bananas Foster. The cooking begins 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Central Market, 5750 East Lovers Lane. The class is $60 per person, by reservation. Call 214-361-5754 or visit centralmarket.com.
