You have to choose your level of jackass when you buy a ticket to The Donkey Show. This is not a snarky stab at the third annual fundraiser for the Far North Dallas Richardson Democrats. The various ticket levels actually include “Shrek Donkey,” “Eeyore” and the highest, “Pegasus Donkey.” Either the event planner is hoping to encourage bad behavior or it’s a complete failure of nomenclature. This debatably classy evening of comedy and music takes place Wednesday at Pocket Sandwich Theatre (5400 E. Mockingbird Lane) to benefit Dallas-area democratic candidates and their causes. At 7 p.m., the hee-haw worthy Dallas duo Girls Gone Weird opens the night with a comedy act, followed by the music of the Lucky Pierres. To keep with a toddler-aged tradition, the night will present to former city councilwoman Angela Hunt the third Darlene Ewing Award. Visit farnorthdallasdemocrats.org.
