Having a personal insight into American history is something so few people can really boast. You may have been a part of a historic gathering in your time, but it’s likely nobody will ever ask you about that time you drank your way through the crowds at Cowboy’s Stadium record-breaking opening game. Don’t lose heart, though–Nancy Myers probably never thought she’d be a sought-after source for her connection to one of the most infamous happenings of the twentieth century…and yet here she is, speaking out about her friend Jack Ruby and the role he played in the events following the Kennedy assassination. A former stripper known as “Tammi True”, Myers was in the employ of Mr. Ruby at his Carousel Club when he killed Lee Harvey Oswald. Her insight into his personality—and her vivid descriptions of 1960s-era Dallas—make her a living part of American history. See her in all of her firecracker glory as she puts a special twist on the tale we think we know so well during “Living History with Nancy Myers” at the Sixth Floor Museum, 411 Elm Street, at 2 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $10 for the program only, or $5 when combined with the $16 museum admission. Visit jfk.org to learn more.

Sat., Sept. 6, 2 p.m., 2014
