There’s an old idiom that says, “We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are.” Basically, life is all a matter of perspective, and many artists seem to have this down to, well, an art. David Dike Fine Art presents Olin Travis: Views of Texas, Colorado and Arkansas, a collection of paintings this Dallas-based artist has created based on his travels. Even if you’ve lived in this area all your life, come take a look at Travis’ unique perspective on his subjects. The show runs through May 1 at David Dike Fine Art, 2613 Fairmount St. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Call 214-720-4044 or visit daviddike.com.
Mondays-Fridays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sundays, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Starts: April 19. Continues through May 1, 2010
