Fellas–if you see a Barbie doll-lookin’ lady making a bee line for you at the bar, I know it is your instinct to investigate. But listen to me, guys. If you see blond author Cyndi Targosz coming for you, make a lot of noise, raise your arms to make yourself appear larger, maintain eye contact and back away slowly. Otherwise, there’s a good chance you’re about to get mauled by a cougar. You see, Targosz is the author of Dating the Younger Man, a how-to handbook for aspiring cougars everywhere. Judging by recent trips to Victory Park and other local cougar habitats, I don’t necessarily think the women of North Texas need lessons in such things, but Targosz will nevertheless bring her go-get-’em attitude and relationship advice to Barnes & Noble, 861 N.E. Mall Blvd. in Hurst, at 7 p.m. Saturday. Which of course means all younger men should avoid the Mid-Cities area like a herd of frightened deer this weekend, unless you have a thing for Cheri Oteri’s “Morning Latte” talk show character on Saturday Night Live, in which case, you might have a shot at the fantasy mauling you’ve always dreamed of. Call 817-284-1244 or visit Targosz’s Web site (seriously, you have to visit this lady’s Web site) at starglow.com.
