“I want to be useful and bring enjoyment to all people, even those I’ve never met. I want to go on living even after my death!” teen diarist Anne Frank wrote during the two years she and seven other Jews spent hiding in an attic in Holland, attempting to avoid capture by Nazi forces. In the end, she, her mother and sister would die in concentration camps, but Frank’s father — and her diary — would live on, giving Frank the kind of immortality she’d dreamed of. WaterTower Theatre brings Frank to life with its production of The Diary of Anne Frank in a stage adaptation by Wendy Kesselman, directed by Terry Martin. The production opens at 7:30 p.m. Monday and continues through January 29 with performances at 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. matinees Saturdays and Sundays.
