It’s the time of year when we curl up under a blanket, get out our flashlights, and tell terrifying tales of drunken revelers puking on our front lawns and of grown women squatting to urinate in a Chipotle parking lot. That’s right — the annual frightfest known as St. Patrick’s Day is upon us like a frat dude on a pint of green beer, and what better way to steel yourself for all the thrills and chills of the season o’ the Irish than with a viewing of the cult-classic comedy … er, horror film, Leprechaun. It’s 92 minutes of the sweet guy from Willow vamping under about 20 pounds of latex and directing his fake Irish accent at a pre-famous, LA Gear-clad Jennifer Aniston. And it’s definitely scary — if bad special effects leave you with a pit in your tummy. Stock up on four-leaf clovers and follow the rainbow to the Alamo Drafthouse (100 S. Central Expressway, Richardson), where this pot of movie gold awaits you on St. Pat’s day proper — 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. A ticket will set you back a mere $7; visit drafthouse.com to purchase.
