After a lifetime of expensive, useless visits to Western doctors, homeopathy is tempting. Researching online, I’ve come across some wild-ass homeopathic meds, like this vial from a first-aid kit: Lachesis (Bushmaster Snake) 9x for “black, smelly wounds [and] disease state when body is thoroughly poisoned, great weakness.” Jeez, my Red Cross kit has Band-Aids and iodine swabs. This “natural, noninvasive” hoodoo brings people back to life. What’s in these kits? Homeopathy expert Alfie Wishart knows. After the classes, you will too. Create yours from health-store goods 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Bend Studio, 5014 McKinney Ave. Tickets are $25. Call 214-606-0770 or bendstudio@gmail.com.

Will you step up to support Dallas Observer this year?
At the Dallas Observer, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $16,250 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of the Dallas Observer, now’s the time to give back.
