Haul out those marigolds, prep your sugar skulls, and don your best face paint—it’s time to honor the dead with some charitable festivities. Los Muertos Bishop celebrates Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, in the naturally walkable fashion of the Bishop Arts District. From 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday, November 2, on Bishop Avenue at Davis, the neighborhood will be hopping with beer from co-sponsors Four Corners Brewery, delicious street food, performers Aztec Dancer, local musicians, and art for the viewing and picking. Stroll the shops and dine at your leisure, but don’t forget to pay it forward while thinking on the past: Bring canned goods to place upon the ofrenda (Day of the Dead altar) benefitting North Texas Food Bank. The event is free, but all proceeds benefit Oak Cliff non-profits so give, buy, and donate. For more details, visit facebook.com/LosMuertosBishopArts..

Sun., Nov. 2, 6-10 p.m., 2014
