Did you know it was Texas Wine Month? We sure didn’t. If we had known, we might have taken a break from our own private 18-pack-a-day celebration. Oh well. If you’re actually cultured enough to know about Texas Wine Month you’d probably like to know that The Grape Restaurant is wrapping it up with a Texas Hill Country-inspired three-course wine dinner. Here you can enjoy “German inspired Hill Country cuisine” complemented by hand-selected wines from Texas’ Fall Creek Vineyards and a display of one-of-a-kind wine decanters by glassblower David Gappa. Portions of the proceeds from the glass display and dinner will benefit the Houston Food Bank for victims of Hurricane Ike. Do a little Texas-style wining and dining this Sunday. Reservations are recommended. Tickets are $50 per person. For reservations and more information, call 214-828-1981 or visit thegraperestaurant.com.
