$10,000

I’ve taken art classes at more than four institutions of higher learning. They were all good, but the one that was great was Richland College. An underdog because of its “community college” status, Richland doesn’t seem like the pick for fantastic labs, galleries and art profs, but it is. And as proof of this, you should see the faculty’s work, in the Art Faculty Biennial exhibition, weekdays through October 10 in Richland’s Brazos Gallery. Works by Sara Cardona, Wayne Loucas, Roy Cirigliana, Randall Garrett, Jim Stover and others are showcased. Call 972-238-6339 or visit richlandcollege.edu/human/art/artGallery.htm for more info.

Mondays-Fridays. Starts: Sept. 3. Continues through Oct. 10, 2008
