Sure everyone wants to make movies but it takes more than a YouTube account and a dad with connections to the cyber police.
Enter the Dallas Film Society.
It’s offering a Summer Film Camp for kids 14 to 18 that will show them the ropes of filmmaking. Students will learn about costume, sound and set design, lighting, cinematography and the basics of cinematic storytelling. They’ll also get to try out cameras and professional movie editing software.
But if your kid is looking to be the next Martin Scorcese you’ll have to get them registered fast; there are only 30 seats at the camp. It runs from July 11 to 15 at the Studios at Las Colinas. Registration is $250 for members of the Dallas Film Society and $275 for everyone else. Consequences will never be the same.
