We're in the final stretch of our summer campaign. Our goal is to raise $12,500 by August 9 to support the journalism our community relies on. Reader support is helping shape the future of local news.

$12,500

Master of blue-eyed R&B, Boz Scaggs has been laying down grooves since he was 12 years old. Raised in Dallas, he met Steve Miller (you know, “Fly Like an Eagle”) while attending St. Mark’s and they started rocking together. Years later, Boz achieved mainstream success with his signature style of pop/soul music. The dirty swagger of 1976’s “Lowdown” made that jam an instant midnight standard. Now, Scaggs is back in town showcasing recent material that is more on the jazz tip. His versatile voice and gifted guitar stylings assure that it will be a night of amazing music. Boz Scaggs performs 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bass Performance Hall, Fourth and Calhoun streets in Fort Worth. Tickets are $28 to $78. Call 817-212-4280 or visit basshall.com.
