Keep Dallas Observer Free
We’re $1,500 away from our spring campaign goal!
We’re aiming to raise $10,000 by April 26. Your support ensures Dallas Observer can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
Treat yourself to a long lunch break on Tuesday to appreciate the high-quality and diverse work created by area artists at the Denton-based Visual Art Society of Texas’ (VAST) 24th Annual Juried Members Exhibition. Juror for this year’s exhibition, which features works by 47 members of VAST, is Michelle Hays, chair of the Department of Visual Arts at Texas Woman’s University. This year’s show is dedicated to Jo Nash, founding member of the North Texas Art League, now VAST. She was a loyal and active member of the organization since its inception in 1975. Stop by to show your support for Nash and the rest of North Texas’ talented and growing community of art lovers and artists. The show is on exhibit in the East and West Galleries of the Fine Arts Building at TWU (304 Administration Drive, Denton) through August 2. Gallery is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
