When someone you work with is better than you at everything, it can be frustrating. Now, the best way to combat this without forsaking your soul is to make fun of them in a non-threatening manner. This is the tack the writers of The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged) took: Othello as a rap song, Titus Andronicus as a cooking show, the reduction of Macbeth to a single duel. The Duncanville Community Theatre, 106 S. Main St., will take a stab at offending the great scribe this weekend. Performances are at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Tickets range from $10 to $12 and can be had by calling 972-780-5707.
Thursdays-Saturdays. Starts: July 18. Continues through July 26, 2008
Will you step up to support Dallas Observer this year?
At the Dallas Observer, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $14,000 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of the Dallas Observer, now’s the time to give back.
