If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands. But if you’re prideful and you know it? Take your shirt off, throw on a feather boa, add a pair of glitter nipple tassels and march down the street. That’s right, Dallas Pride is almost here and to kick things off, Miss Coco Peru and her “one-queen show,” Miss Coco Peru is Present, is coming to town. It’s ultimately the story of how Miss Coco, aka Clinton Leupp, transformed from “Bronx misfit to low-end Hollywood gaylebrity.” It’s a cabaret-style act filled with stories, songs, humor, wiener tucks and even a self-deprecating joke or two. Honestly, if it’s half as entertaining as the name of the production company Homo Say What? it’s going to be a night you don’t want to miss. Miss Coco Peru is Present plays at 7:30 p.m. Friday in The Rose Room at S4. Tickets available now at brownpapertickets.com at $25 for general admission and $40 for VIP admission, reserved seating and meet and greet after the show.
