It’s been a long time since we had our picture taken with the Stanley Cup the day the Stars came to the Fort Worth Convention Center. To be honest we didn’t really follow hockey much at that point in our lives–some thirteen-year-old kids just prefer football, or (God-forbid) soccer. It was pretty cool to see that big, shiny trophy, though. All this reminiscing has given us a little bit of Stanley Cup fever, and the Stars’ great play of late has only made it worse. Especially in that OT game last month where Mike Ribeiro scored the winning goal against the division rival San Jose Sharks, a spirit boosting win that might see us through the rematch at 7:30 p.m. this Thursday. Here’s hoping for another dramatic win as the Stars take on the Sharks once more at the American Airlines Center. Tickets are $15 to $160. Visit ticketmaster.com.

Thu., Dec. 16, 7:30 p.m., 2010
