The world famous Shen Yun Dance Company aims to revive the spirit of Chinese culture and tradition by performing dances that showcase classic Chinese myths and legends, studying values and virtues found in said myths and legends, and utilizing an all-original score by an orchestra made up of Chinese and Western instruments. This weekend, Shen Yun’s anthology of short performances will lead the audience on a tour through China’s geography and history via dancers in colorful, handmade costumes and hi-tech backgrounds. See it for yourself at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with matinees at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, at the Winspear Opera House. Tickets are $60 to $200.
