$10,000

Long before Tonya Harding’s redneck ass hit the ice, there was a classy little lady named Dorothy Hamill. She was America’s sweetheart, and her hair was our nation’s go-to ’do. Seriously, that thing was bigger than fauxhawks. Well, if you’re curious what Dorothy looks like now or whether she’s still got it (she does), just head to the Galleria at noon Friday and 5 p.m. Saturday and see for yourself: She’ll be there to whirl, twirl and sparkle with U.S. Men’s Nationals champion Ryan Bradley. And since the best things come in threes — Missile Toes, the Galleria’s own ice-skating, back-flipping Santa will be there too. Will he jump through a hoop made of fiery elves? Guess you’ll just have to show up to find out. If skatin’s not your thang, check out the Illumination Celebration, where the tree’s lights dance to music, Saturday through December 24 every day at noon, 2, 4, 6 and 8 p.m. (There are no 8 p.m. shows on Sundays.) Check out all the Galleria’s goings on at galleriadallas.com.

Fri., Nov. 25, noon; Sat., Nov. 26, 5 p.m., 2011
