Any kid can be a soccer player or a violin prodigy. I was special. I was a nearsighted ballerina. I never wore my glasses when I performed, for fear they’d go flying and render a fellow wood nymph unconscious. So I danced blind, never knowing when another dancer would appear or where the end of the stage might be. I guess the upside was I never felt nervous performing to a room full of shiny blobs. Now I get the chance to relive those blissful ballerina moments, this time in the shiny blob seats: At 2 p.m. Sunday, the Dallas Metropolitan Ballet will perform a full-length interpretation of Snow White at McFarlin Auditorium at Southern Methodist University. They’re giving one performance only, so hurry to ticketmaster.com (or call 214-373-8000) for tickets, which are $10 to $30. For more information, call 214-631-ARTS or visit dallasmetroballet.com.
Sun., March 25, 2 p.m.
