When it comes to space exploration, there’s just no room to be jaded: Space is…well, it’s scary as hell, and nothing short of super-rad. The moon? Flying from Earth and landing on the freaking moon?! Seriously. How can anyone debate how unbelievably cool that is? They can’t. Which is why everyone who has an astronaut in their childheart should checkout Moon Day, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at Frontiers of Flight Museum, 6911 Lemmon Ave. Sure, it’s a family-oriented event, with lots of kid-focused activities (building and launching model rockets, lunar activity bags, and more), but Moon Day celebrates the 45th anniversary of the first manned moon landing (July 20, 1969), and that’s a party for all ages. Plus, there will be three portable planetariums, programs on Mars and “Cosmic Chemistry,” and a ton of displays and exhibits.
