Turns out tassels are having the best week ever, due in large part to The Midnight Ramble: A Sex, Funk & Rock n’ Soul show. Wait, a who and what? Exactly. The Midnight Ramble is a lot of things. It’s burlesque and go-go. Live music and fire. Boobies and, well, more boobies. The show promises to “bend your mind and feed your inner freak.” Here’s hoping your inner freak likes hair dye and sneers. Throughout the evening, you’ll see the girls shake their girls, be dazzled by the sideshow antics of Circus della Morte featuring a professional masticator and contortionist and awkwardly shuffle along to Iron Belly OD, a group that promises “pure, unadulterated rock ’n’ roll.” And hey, it’s at a bar, so there truly is something for everyone. The show starts at 8 p.m. on Friday at The Boiler Room (2723 Elm St.). Cover is $10. Visit
